Mental Health, Physical Activity and Quality of Life-Eating Behavior
Ioannis D. Morres obtained MSc from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven-Belgium and PhD from the University of Thessaly. He teaches the undergraduate modules of behavior change, research methodology, mental health, physical activity, and eating behavior. Across undergraduate curricula, he teaches the module of “clinical exercise psychology: prescription for mental health disorders” in the European Masters of Sport & Exercise Psychology and the module of “psychology of exercise” in the Ergospirometry & Rehabilitation postgraduate program (University of Thessaly). Dr Morres has received distinctions from international journals, serves as a reviewer for the Dutch Research Council, and holds a signal of scientific evidence by the National Institute of Health Research for Patient Benefit in the United Kingdom. He is review editor for the journals Frontiers in Psychology and Frontiers in Sport and Active Living. His clinical experience includes ≈12.000 exercise sessions for mental health patients in the National Health Systems in the USA, UK, Belgium and Denmark. His personal development includes 400 hours of individualized psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
